AI coding skill
One command teaches Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other AI agents how to use Nest Auth.
@ackplus/nest-auth-skill installs an agent skill into your project. After that you can ask your AI coding agent for auth features in plain language and it uses the official SDKs with the correct, current APIs.
Install
Run in your project root:
One command for every project. It reads package.json / pubspec.yaml (monorepo folders included) and installs only the skills that match your stack:
| Your project uses | Skill | Covers |
|---|---|---|
| NestJS | nest-auth | backend setup and every option, the plain JS/TS client, the REST API |
| React, Next.js, React Native / Expo | nest-auth-react | provider, hooks, guards, login/signup/MFA screens, Next.js server auth |
| Flutter | nest-auth-flutter | the Dart client and controller, native sign-in, auth-gated navigation |
To choose yourself, add --stack react, --stack flutter, --stack backend or --stack all (several can be comma separated).
It also detects which agents the project uses and writes only agent instruction files:
| Agent | What is written |
|---|---|
| Claude Code | .claude/skills/<skill>/ |
Codex and other AGENTS.md agents | .agents/skills/<skill>/ and a small marked block in AGENTS.md |
| Cursor | .cursor/rules/<skill>.mdc |
Installing a skill does not add authentication to your app. No dependency is installed and no application file is changed. Commit the generated files so the whole team gets the skills.
The skills recommend defaults but leave the choice to you: ask for a specific approach (header tokens, your own HTTP client, a different state library) and the agent uses it.
Use
- "Add Google login to my React app."
- "Set up email/password authentication."
- "Add MFA to my existing login."
- "Make this application multi-tenant."
- "Add role-based permissions."
- "Add a login screen to my Flutter app."
The agent inspects your stack first, reads only the reference files the task needs, and enables only the features you asked for.
Update, check, remove
Updating keeps any file you edited and tells you about it; --force replaces it and saves your copy as .bak. update refreshes every installed skill. Other options: --stack, --agent claude, codex, cursor, --dir <path>, --global, --dry-run.
The skills are released with the Nest Auth packages. Keep them on the same version as the @ackplus/nest-auth* packages you use.
